Les crocodiles blancs

thirty-six

Charles Schulz died when I was seven, at the age of seventy-seven.

I remember hearing about his death on the radio, and I though they were talking about a young boy who was seven, like me. (I didn’t know who Charles Schulz was.)

I was so scared that I was going to die too… being seven, it seemed like I was vulnerable to death too.

i’m constantly thinking about dying young, but the death of youth also plays on my mind alot. i think there’s something vulnerable about being a not quite child but a not quite adult.
